Marcus is married to Jen and they live in Vacaville, California with their daughter Nalla.  He is a C-5 Galaxy Crew Chief in the U.S. Air Force.

Marcus started racing in 2001 with the Golden State Mini Motorcycle Road Racing club (GSMR).  In his very first year he won the Novice Supersport Championship and came in 2nd overall in Novice Super Bike.  His future plans are to start competing in the American Federation of Motorcyclist (AFM) club.
